Divya was born in Bangalore, Karnataka on 29 November .

she is fluent in Tamil,kannada, Telugu as well.

Divya Spandana, had her debut in the 2003 Kannada film Abhi, alongside Puneet Rajkumar. She was supposed to have been introduced in Appu, but somehow, due to certain reasons, couldnt make it.

Her final release in 2008 was vaaranam Aayiram . And for this Gowtham menon's film, she changed her screen name to her actual name Divya again,. This is because, she believes that this name is her lucky one. She had also dubbed in her own voice for the movie, which became a high critical as well as commercial success.

She is also the brand ambassador for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Her first release of 2010 Just Math Mathalli  was a big success.

Other new films are Kicha - Hucha, Sanju weds Geeta opposite Srinagar Kitty and the comedy drama Siddalingu, in which she does the role of a school teacher.

Ramya made her acting debut in the 2003 Kannada-language film Abhi, alongside Puneet Rajkumar. She is also the grand daughter of SM krishna. Though she is from a reputed and rich family, Divya is known for her simple and humble nature.
